So this is actually from the 18th, but here is page 16 finished.
Oh, I just adore him. I will be doing pages 17 & 18 together. I have already gridded it out and started working on it.
So how's everyone doing? If you celebrate Christmas, how was it?
We travel to a few places on Christmas day, so we only open 1 present in the morning and then we open the remaining ones when we return home at night. We have been doing it for awhile and it seems to work rather well. (We didn't do it last year and I didn't care for it). First stop was my sisters house. We exchanged gifts and talked for a bit and then headed out to MIL's house. We were there for about 2 hours and then followed them to my hubby's uncles house where we have dinner and participate in a gift exchange. We had a great time and I met a new friend. She cross stitches and we spent a good bit of time talking about what we have done and what we enjoy doing. We are hoping to get together every once in awhile to stitch and I am looking forward to it!
We got home around 8 at night and then opened our gifts. Dearest Daughter received Copic markers. Holy crap those things are expensive... That was her big gift. She got a lot of clothes and some other odds and ends.
Hubby got a new mic for streaming on twitch and gaming. He actually got an IOU since they are out of stock right now (brand new), but he will get it as soon as it is out. He also got some clothing.
I received SOA seasons 1-6 and will be shipped season 7 as soon as it comes out. I got the collectors edition and it is really nice. I also got this:
It is a Pandora bracelet and I am in love with it. I almost cried when I opened it. There are 2 of the ones on the right as they are clips. I also have a safety chain on the other side that you can't see. I love love love it!
Anywho, nothing else is really going on. Hubby's foot is all better. No more swelling and no more bruising. It took awhile, but it looks much better and it isn't hurting him anymore either.
What are your plans for new years?
Have a fabulous day everyone!

December 10, 2014 Update
I am so close to another page finish!
Sorry I have been missing for a couple of weeks. I was on vacation the week of Thanksgiving. How was your Thanksgiving? Did you spend it alone, with family, did you travel? We go to one of my sisters houses for Thanksgiving every year. I make cheesy potatoes and she makes everything else. This year, there were only 8 of us. It was very nice and cozy. I came down with a cold on the day before and wasn't feeling all that great on Thanksgiving. But I took a nap after making the cheesy potatoes and felt good enough to go over. Glad I did to, it was a great day.
The Saturday after, I made our second Thanksgiving at our house. I make a few things that my sister doesn't make, so it is a little different meal that what we had at her place. Plus then I get left overs!
Last week was just all messed up. I worked Monday and Tuesday and then on Wednesday I was awoken to my daughter coming into my room at 5:05 am saying "Dad needs you, something is wrong". Okay, so that's not good. He gets up at 4:00 am to get ready and leaves somewhere between 4:45 and 5:00. Well, he left at right before 5:00 and got to the bottom of our stairs. It was pouring down rain and he noticed that the water looked pretty deep. He took a step down and the water was almost up to his ankle. He took about 4 big steps and caught the edge of the concrete walkway where it meets the dirt. (About an inch and a half to two inches drop). He twisted his ankle and fell. He then basically crawled up the stairs and rang the doorbell and knocked until our daughter opened the front door. When I got out to him, he was standing in the door frame with his right foot up in the air, holding onto the door jam for support and he was drenched in water. Not a good thing to wake up to at 5 in the morning.
I told our daughter to go back to bed and then got him undressed on the porch. I got him a towel and then helped him into the house so he could sit and elevate his foot and we could get a look at it. Oh... it wasn't good. Of course at that time, we didn't know what he had done to it, but it looked like he had put a tennis ball underneath his skin on the outside of his ankle. Immediate swelling. Here is a pic of it:
See? Not pretty. So we went to Urgent Care a little later in the morning. (After I took daughter to school). and they said that he had twisted his ankle. Ice, elevate and stay off of it. They also didn't want him driving. So, he was off work for the remainder of the week. Two days ago, it looked like this:
The swelling has gone down quite a bit, but still isn't gone. The bruising however is horrid. It goes around his foot and his toes are even bruised. We are still watching it daily now that he is back to work. Bleh. Enough on that!
Over the last weekend of November, I took dearest daughter in to get her hair done. Here she is with her new doo.
Beautiful!!!
Then on December 2nd, she got her braces off! She was so happy to get them off. 2 years was too long for her. She now has invisiline which she will wear all the time (except for when she eats), for 6 months. They will then evaluate and hopefully at that point, she will only have to wear them at night. She doesn't mind them, since she has now gotten used to them. However, she said she will be happy when she only has to wear them at night.
Then this past weekend, actually on Friday the 5th, we took her to get her lip pierced. It looks pretty good on her, but she is already looking forward to getting the smaller bar as she didn't really swell and the longer bar is bothering her a bit. The first couple of days, she couldn't chew much, so she was eating a very small amount of food over a very large amount of time. She has gotten better though and it doesn't bother her as much.
Okay, now on to the stitching. Because I was out for almost 2 weeks, not much happened on Ruh, but here he is as of Monday the 8th.
So close to a page finish. I think I will be working on him again today at lunch, as I am not tired enough to nap.
I can't think of anything else right now, so that's it for this weeks update.
Have a good one!
