What's Up?

It's been a bit hasn't it?  Yeah.  It has.  Sorry about that  Life some times gets in the way of all things crafty and stitchy related
First up - my dearest daughter:

She was sick for a whole week.  I stayed home with her for 3 days and then the 4th day her fever jumped up to 103.2 so I took her in to see the doctor.  Although I am glad I took her in and I am glad that she "only has the flu" it bothered me that they couldn't do anything for her.  She is prone to getting strep throat when she gets a cold or flu, so I usually freak over that anyway.  But her throat was fine and she is getting all better now.  This is her the night after going to a concert last week.  Yes.  I am a horrid mom and let my daughter go to a concert on a week night.  She did go to school the next day though.  (She had a great time at the concert btw).
As for the concert.  I think it was Black Veil Brides that she saw.  I believe that soon she will be going to see Mayday Parade and Pierce the Veil.  She gets great grades and is a very good daughter, or she wouldn't be allowed to go to these events.
Secondly - I got a new computer:
Stupid blogger is flippin my pictures around again!  Darn it.  Teach me not to use chrome.  Anywho...  My hubby bought me this case and built up my new computer for me.  When I turn it on, I can't even hear it, it is so quiet.  My old one was so loud, but he is going to work on it and upgrade it and then give it to our daughter.  Hers will become something, I really can't remember what he said.  Some techy geeky thing I'm sure.  LOL!  He is very good with computers, so I leave all of that to him.  I had to work on it at home one morning and couldn't because my work portal wouldn't load up for me.  He fixed that the other night real quick and now I am able to work from home again, which will come in handy this Friday morning!  I do enjoy working from home!
Thirdly - Since the time change, I have been super tired.  Plus my gluten allergy is currently off the charts.  If I even look at a piece of pasta my stomach starts groaning and I start bloating up.  I swear!  Okay, maybe not, but it sure seems like it.  Milk has not been super friendly to me lately either, and I rather enjoy my evening glass of milk.
Fourthly - (is that a word?) - Have you tried teas from Teavana?  My they are wonderful.  I currently have Pineapple Kona Pop with me at work and I am loving the flavor.  It's a nice pick me up in the afternoon with such wonderful scents.  We recently picked up some of the Tranquil Dreams tea and daughter is liking that.  She gets a mug before bed most nights.  I am also putting a ball of .. oh my... um... hold on. Silver Yin Zhen Pearls White Tea.  Sorry, I had to go look at their site.  ha!  Anywho, because the tranquil doesn't have antioxidants in it, I put a pearl into her cup at night and then let it steep for 5 minutes and then pull it out.  It can be reused many times, so this works out great, because the white tea is expensive.
Fifthly - I have been slacking on my stitching.  My TUSAL will hopefully be posted some time this week.  I have no car or home stitching the last month so it is minimal.  Here is where Ruh is currently: (grr, sorry it's sideways...)

I did however just score a new chart.  I used part of my gift certificate that I won a while back.  I purchased Giraffe Silhouette by Annya Kai.  My co-worker K loves giraffe's and when I saw this I knew I had to get it.  I am hoping that it will be a new start soon as it is yelling at me rather loudly!  I might even do it for myself as well.  The colors are amazing.

Well, for now that is all.  I will try to come back soon to post my March TUSAL.

  6. Giraffes in Scarves!! What a great chart.
And you are a lovely Mum letting your daughter go to these concerts. You never know if it will be the last time a band plays together or at that level. I've seen so many bands at little local venues that went on to be big and it's great to say I was there. Equally I saw Queen twice on their last ever tour before Freddie died and I'm so glad we did the extra night.
