Week of 10/27/14 Update

From last week to yesterday, I have done quite a bit actually.  More than I thought I had!
Not sure if I will work on him today or not.  I am leaving early and I don't know if I am taking a lunch yet or not.  Hmm.  I guess it will depend on how busy work is, and by the way it is right now, I will be taking a lunch!
My hubby has put his resume in for a new job, and I am hoping that he gets it.  It would mean less commute time for him, (20 minutes instead of 45 min - 2 hours), and no bridges.  It would be about the same price range but the gas and toll costs would go down dramatically.
Dearest Daughter had her first flag show during the half time game at her school this past weekend.  She did great.  She is now being taught all routines so that she is ready to go for the next show.  From what she told me yesterday, when they were teaching her, they told her that she was doing really well and that she was a quick learner.  (I think it runs in the genes)!  I was a flag girl and then went to front banner.  I loved the 3 years I did.  She is loving it so far too!
Not much else is going on.  Been rather slow on the house hunting.

Have a great week!

My Weekly Update

I will try to get these on here on Mondays, but sometimes, that just won't happen.
My stitching was horrid last week as I only worked on it 2 days.  So far this week, I have done both days and plan on stitching at lunch today.  This pic is from Monday after lunch.
I just finished filling in the open space in between the browns yesterday and will be starting another color today.  As you can see, I work one color for the whole page and then move to the next.
I tried parking once on another chart and it didn't work well for me.  However I think it might have something to do with confetti.  I haven't really tried it when the area is confetti heavy.  I might have to do that and see if there is a difference.  I mean, I never thought I would grid and now I can't see myself not gridding. :)
What else?  Hmm.  CA is in a serious drought and although it rained a day or so ago, it was only enough to wet the roads.  We need some major rain!  Do the rain dance for us if you can, we need it badly.
Speaking of, my daughter has an art project that is due tomorrow.  She has to make and draw a super hero. Hers?  Rain Man - He can make it rain whenever he wants.  Why did she choose this?  Because we need rain!  I love her, she is so amazing.
We are still looking for a house, haven't found one yet.  The one we put an offer on was taken off the market, so I don't know what is going on with that.  One popped up this morning, so we will probably go look at it soon.
Not much else to report on.  I hope you all have an amazing rest of the week and a fantabulous weekend!

A Couple Days Late Update

Page 16 being worked on.  This is after lunch on Friday.  As you can see, he is peeking at me while I stitch on him.  :)
I was out yesterday on a mini vacation.  Had quite a few things to do around the house and I was trying to get myself and my daughters achievements done in WoW.  It was a good and productive day!

There is a chance of rain this week and I am really hoping for it.  Please keep your fingers crossed as we seriously need any we can get.

Have a great week everyone!

Update on Ruh - Page Finish

I finished page 15 and he is so handsome!
That is just page 15, and I love how detailed it is.  Working on page 16 now and he is staring at me while I stitch him.  (I love it)!
And here he is with pages 1 thru 15 done.  He is just jumping right off of the fabric.  I really do enjoy working on him.  To think that I only work on him an hour a day at work on an average of 3 days a week is amazing to me.  I have gotten a lot done in those small windows of time.
Page 16 is gridded and started already.  I think I am going to start doing weekly updates on him now, as I love seeing him develop more and more.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
